BOCES, Partners Offer Resources To Help With Costs

Dutchess BOCES is partnering with Assemblymember Didi Barrett, the Public Utility Law Project and others to host a Utility Bill Clinic April 16 to provide information and resources to community members who may need assistance.
The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. at Dutchess BOCES Conference Center, 5 BOCES Road, Poughkeepsie.


Ambulance Simulator Amps Up EMT Program

Brent Baugus from Rescue Simulation Products installs the final panel on the simulator.EMT Teacher Danielle Bohlmann and her students have a new tool to help them learn the skills needed to become EMTs with the installation of an ambulance simulator in the classroom. BOCES invested $65,000 to purchase the unit and have it installed.


Campus Raises Awareness Of Down syndrome

Marisa Poltrack and her students donned yellow and blue in recognition of World Down Syndrome Day.On Friday, Dutchess BOCES staff and students took time to honor World Down Syndrome Day, which was on Saturday, March 21. The day promotes inclusion and building a sense of belonging for all students.


Students, Staff Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

It all began Friday, as Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management students made savory corned beef Reubens with fresh-baked Irish soda bread and coleslaw on the side for staff lunches.
