Dear Dutchess BOCES families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are incredibly excited to welcome our students back to Dutchess BOCES on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. There is simply nothing better than seeing our campuses come alive again with students learning, creating, connecting, and discovering what is possible.
Throughout the summer, our team has been hard at work preparing for their return. We have made significant improvements across our campuses—from new ceilings, lighting, paint, and furniture at Salt Point Center to refreshed classrooms, newly paved roads and parking areas, and new outdoor seating. We have also continued to strengthen campus safety and welcomed talented new staff members to our BOCES team.
But all of that work is really about one thing: our students.
At Dutchess BOCES, we want every student to feel that they belong, that they are supported, and that they have opportunities to discover their strengths and imagine what comes next. Whether a student finds a new passion, masters a skill they never thought possible, builds new friendships, prepares for a career, or begins to see a future for themselves in a whole new way—that is why we are here.
Our work is the work of the heart, and everything we do begins with creating opportunities for our students. Through innovation, partnership, and growth, we work to open doors, expand possibilities, and help every student discover what they are capable of achieving.
Families and caregivers are essential partners in this work. If you have questions or need support during the year, please reach out to your child’s teacher or building principal. We want you to know that we are here for you, too.
We cannot wait to see our students walk through our doors next week.
