Instructional Technology Office Manager Rachael Brammer has been with BOCES for 25 years. “Rachael is an exemplary model for all of Dutchess BOCES, embodying a work ethic and dedication that are truly unparalleled,” Interim Deputy Superintendent Louis Riolo, Jr., wrote in her nomination, adding that her impact extends beyond her immediate role, as she often helps the agency’s 13 component districts. “She is a true partner to our districts, making their experiences with our IT services seamless and effective.” Plus, her positive attitude is infectious, making her a joy to work with.
School counselor Heather Murphy was nominated for her advocacy and compassion. “Heather has always been a fierce advocate for all her students. Her work with traumatized youth and those who have faced significant challenges is incredibly demanding, yet Heather approaches it with such grace and efficacy that she makes it appear effortless,” Riolo wrote in her nomination. Her demeanor and caring attitude have “enabled her to connect with even the most challenging student cases, breaking through barriers where others might falter.” She has worked at Dutchess BOCES for three years and is at the Resilience Academy.
Salt Point Center Principal Melissa Murphy’s “exemplary leadership and profound impact on the lives of her students and the educational landscape of the Mid-Hudson Valley” is why she was nominated for this honor. “She is a fierce advocate, not only knowing every student under her charge, but also understanding their individual backgrounds and family circumstances,” Riolo wrote. “This deep, personal connection is particularly vital at SPC, where students often face unique and significant challenges not typically encountered in other school districts.” She is also deeply respected and seen as a supportive leader among her staff. Murphy has been with BOCES for eight years.

Congratulations to all the winners.
