<p>Monumenta Art Conservation & Finishing, LLC, located in Dutchess County, Mid-Hudson Valley, seeks to hire an entrylevel sculpture technician. <br />
This position will develop the following skillset – metal grinding, cutting, forming, welding, & spray-painting prep.<br />
Welding, knowledge of/experience with rigging, OSHA10, lift certifications are desirable but not required. <br />
Company will provide training/certifications for right candidate.<br />
Must have ability to work outdoors, on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, be physically capable of carrying tools and equipment.<br />
Must be safety-minded at all times with regards to oneself as well as co-workers and clients’ property.<br />

QUALIFICATIONS<br />
Must demonstrate familiarity and comfort with the safe use of hand and power tools<br />
• Must be able to take direction and be a team player, observant, and prioritize safe working practices<br />
• Must be self-motivated and able to work well under pressure<br />
• Communicates clearly to coworkers & managers<br />
• Good personal and previous employment references<br />
• Must be willing to occasionally work flexible hours based on the needs of the project<br />
• Physical Requirements: lifting, moving, heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs), bending, kneeling, crouching, etc<br />
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time<br />
• Must be able to work from ladders and scaffolding<br />
• Must have valid driver’s license<br />
• Minimum Education: High School Degree<br />
• Minimum Work Experience: 2 Years<br />
• Knowledge and interest in fine art, decorative art and/or design<br />
• Must have no known allergies to ingredients in common cleaners, solvents, epoxies, paints<br />
• Detail oriented: thorough, organized, and productive in work<br />
• Able to travel to regional locations for onsite work<br />
RESPONSIBILITIES<br />
• Assist with fabrication<br />
• Assist with painting<br />
• Assist rigging/heavy object movement with Gantry/Forklift/Crane<br />
• General woodworking<br />
• Load/unload trucks<br />
• Housekeeping and facilities maintenance tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, yard maintenance, exterior & interior building maintenance<br />
• Handle and move packaged and unpackaged artworks before, during and after conservation treatment<br />
• Wrap and pack with designated techniques, materials, and crates<br />
• Assist with installation/de-installation of artworks inhouse and onsite using proper techniques and tools<br />
• Complete daily forms, and document status of work in progress<br />
• Organize and maintain operational tools and materials</p>
