Welding
Course overview: Our career pathway to become an Welder consists of both instruction and hands-on learning. The career pathway is broken into two separate modules:
- Welding Foundations 1 with an OSHA 30 certification
- Welding Foundations 2 with a pending certification
- Welding Foundations 3 with a pending certification
Module 1 is a prerequisite for Module 2.
After completing the OSHA 30 course, Welding I is an initial introduction to “Stick” Welding, with theory, background, and safety. Students will practice welding skills on flat and perpendicular metals.
Classes are taught by a Welding Instructor who has career experience working in the field of construction. Career Counselors will support students to learn about available careers in the field, develop resumes and interview skills and build professionalism throughout the course.
