Graphic Arts/Film Production

Graphic Arts/Design is a program providing a basic knowledge in the use of machines, materials, and processes in the graphics industry. Through shop theory and practical lab experience, the student learns techniques and procedures required for entry-level employment or advanced study in a challenging and rewarding field.

The Graphics Department and CTI are committed to the goal of having the best and most up-to-date equipment for a student’s technical education.

Video Production & Media Arts Course Description:

The Video Production & Media Arts program will provide students the opportunity to explore the exciting world of communications, while participating in a variety of interesting hands-on activities designed to introduce them to this field. Students learn to work as a team, as well as independently, while learning the industry skills necessary to be productive members of a video production team. Producing programs such as commercials, news broadcasts, promotional pieces, talk shows, and taping special events are all part of this course. Script writing, acting, directing, lighting, editing, and visual effects are some of the things students will learn to do in the classroom studio and out in the field. These skills will be used in creating many projects, and thereby developing a personal portfolio for use in seeking college acceptance and/or employment.
