
Auto Body Collision & Refinishing
This is a one-year course for a student in his/her junior or senior year of high school. The course is taught in modules. In the first module, Auto Body Collision, the student will learn entry-level collision theories and repairs. This will include dent repair, vehicle frame [theory, measuring, set-up, and pulling], welding, theory and procedures up to the primer stage. The second module is Auto-Refinishing. The student will learn entry-level refinishing theories and procedures [wet sanding, taping, prepping], paint mixing, spray gun maintenance, and techniques.
Auto Body Exploration
Auto Body Exploration introduces the student in his/her junior or senior year of high school to a one-year entry-level course in the Auto Body field. This course will be divided into 5 and 10 week modules allowing students to enter at any time during the course. The students will be exposed to theories and tasks in areas such as safety, vehicle and parts identification, parts counter person, general/specialty hand tools, power hand tools and equipment, window tinting, pin striping, and detailing.
