Objective:
Maps are more than just lines and
colors with city labels. After learning and applying the use of a pie chart,
students gather important physical and demographic data from these different
maps related to Canada's geography. Students
will write one fact on a Maple Leaf for display.
Materials Needed:
Select the Geo Maps link. Arrow down the page to find the following map links: Immigration to Canada, Canada's Physical Make-up, and Travel To & From Canada. You will need to use the <Back> arrow from the task bar before selecting the next links. Use the information from the maps to answer the questions on page 103 (Your Handout).

Maps and other geographic representations, tools, and technologies such as aerial and other photographs, satellite-produced images, and computer models can be used to gather, process, and report information about the United States, Canada, and Latin America today. Students have used technology, reading, writing and analytical skills in this lesson.
