School Improvement

This service provides support to districts in the implementation of the New York State Learning Standards, the New York State Assessments, and assisting districts in meeting the NCLB requirements. Staff development and technical assistance are available in the areas of School Improvement, Instructional Strategies, Organizational Development, Learning Standards, and School Climate and Culture. Examples of service offerings in each of these areas are listed below. The Educational Resources Advisory Council is comprised of instructional leaders from component school districts. They work collaboratively with the Educational Resources Administrators to identify needs and topics for this service. Formats for service delivery range from faculty meetings to full-day or half-day sessions on site or regionally scheduled. On-site technical follow-up support includes electronic networking, distance learning labs, video conferencing and caucusing.
