Model Schools Program Mission Statement:
The New York State process enables school districts to define their paths towards instructional technology integration by facilitating, planning, assessing, and offering staff and curriculum development, as on-going components of systemic school reform and improved student achievement through the use of educational technology.
Model Schools Program Overview:
This service is designed to assist school districts in the effective integration of technology with curriculum and instruction to meet the New York State Learning Standards and Assessments. The Model Schools Coordinator works with schools to customize long-range technology planning, implementation and staff development, which facilitates the district's maximal use of technology. Five days of training (on-site or at the BOCES BETA Lab), provided by BOCES Learning Technology Trainers, is included in the basic service. Additional training days may be purchased through this CoSer.
