Dutchess County BOCES has one of the most diverse and comprehensive educational programs of any BOCES in New York State. The Adult Career & Technical Education Division is a major component of BOCES, serving residents in Dutchess County, and throughout the Mid-Hudson Region. Demand for increased programming resulted in the creation of several major divisions in Adult Career & Technical Education:

The Manufacturing and Technology Institute (MTI) offers career training opportunities in Vocational Trades, and a wide range of Information Technology Programs. Our experienced and certified instructors provide quality hands-on training in areas such as Cisco Certified Networking Associate, UNIX, Graphic Design, HVAC, and many others. MTI holds the distinction of being a Cisco Certified Networking Academy. New programs and courses are being developed constantly to keep up with the rapidly changing Information Technology industry.

The Warehouse Training Academy (WTA) meets the growing need for trained warehousing personnel, including certified forklift operators, and skills for bar coding and OSHA safety. Employers, through contract training agreements, take advantage of WTA's and MTI’s comprehensive programming to upgrade the skills of their employees.

At the Family Partnership Center (FPC), BOCES offers various training and services in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Dutchess County BOCES is a partner with the FPC in helping to make the community a better place by working with people to improve their lives. FPC acts as a community center housing many organizations with the goal of serving the community. We invite you to drop by and see how much BOCES and the Family Partnership Center has to offer.

Our traditional continuing education classes are offered at the Career & Technical Institute (CTI) on Salt Point Turnpike. Courses include classes in most of the trade areas, automotive, barbering & nail technician, hospitality & tourism, bookkeeping & accounting, food preparation and many others. Our Defensive Driving Program is a recognized leader in the field, and special classes can be developed for groups or business at reduced rates.
