Providing an Education for Austistic and Communication Impaired Children Effectively

PEACCE HomeThe PEACCE program at Dutchess County BOCES began in September of 1997. The main goal of the program is to prepare people with autism, and other communication impairments, to live and work more effectively at home, at school and in the community. This program seeks to help students understand their environment while help them to acquire communication skills that will enable them to relate to other people. In addition we work with students and their families to improve coping skills and provide the necessary competencies to make decisions which affect their lives.
