MTI The Workforce Connection Certified Nursing Programs: CNA and LPN

Certified Nursing Assistant
There are excellent employment opportunities in the Hudson Valley for individuals that are certified as Nursing Assistants. You can obtain training for your certification in 5 or 10 week class sessions. All classes are 150 hours. Daytime and evening classes are available. High School diplomas are not required.

Learn the skills necessary to care for patients needs such as feeding, dressing, and bathing. Medical terminology, safety, body mechanics and communication skills are stressed. Participate in a 150-hour training program that leads to state certification.

Students receive 100 hours of instruction in the classroom/laboratory. The last 50 hours are spent working in a local nursing home under the supervision of their instructor. This is an hourly program and excellent attendance is required to satisfy training requirements.
