Certified Nursing Assistant Learn the skills necessary to care for patients needs such as feeding, dressing, and bathing. Medical terminology, safety, body mechanics and communication skills are stressed. Participate in a 150-hour training program that leads to state certification. Students receive 100 hours of instruction in the classroom/laboratory. The last 50 hours are spent working in a local nursing home under the supervision of their instructor. This is an hourly program and excellent attendance is required to satisfy training requirements. |
