The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society [RSES] offers industry leading educational and certification programs to service professionals of all experience levels engaged in heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration. North American Technician Excellence [NATE]

North American Technician Excellence, Inc. [NATE] is the leading certification program for technicians in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning industry and is the only test supported by the entire industry.

NATE exams reflect what technicians need to know to effectively service and install today's sophisticated HVAC systems. To earn certification you must take the NATE core exam consisting of 50 questions which covers: Safety, tools, soft skills, principles of heat transfer and total comfort, and electrical questions.
