
Residential Wiring
This program is designed for the junior or senior student to develop the entry-level skills needed for a residential wiring trainee along with the needed foundation skills in electrical theory, electrical safety/OSHA, National Electrical Code, required residential branch circuit installation/calculations/ wiring methods, and hand & power tool usage.
Prerequisite:
Course B Math or concurrent enrollment. Students are also required to purchase their own hand tools, uniform, work boots, and National Electrical Code textbook.
Construction Electricity/Residential Wiring
This program is designed for students who have successfully completed Residential Wiring who desire a two-year course of electrical studies while offering seniors an option to study Residential Wiring [see above] during the AM session. Topics for Construction Electricity will include electrical theory, safety/OSHA job-site regulations, commercial/industrial wiring methods, circuit loading calculations, hand & power tool usage, service entrance installation/calculations, and introduction to electric motors/controllers.
