A+ Computer Technology

Course Description:

This new 1 year program in A+ Computer Training is designed to provide the student with the technical knowledge and skills required for an entry-level position in the information and computer technology career field. The program will participate in the NYS Career Exploration and Internship Program [CEIP]. The course will prepare you to take the CompTIA A+ Certification Examination sponsored by CES Industries, Inc.

This Program Covers:

• Hardware configuration and set-up
• Software configuration
• Software techniques
• Basic networking and networking security
• Peer-to-peer LAN
• Client/Server

The CompTIA A+ Certification program covers computer architecture, computer literacy, basic computer repair level I, advanced computer repair level II, and non-destructive troubleshooting methods.
